ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Wālid Abī-al-ʼUsharāʻ asked, "Messenger of God, is slitting the throat the only acceptable manner of slaughtering?" The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, replied, "If you were to stab the animal in the thigh, that would suffice." (1) Footnote: (1): According to the scholars this only applies in cases of necessity. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الطهارة باب الوضوء من مس الذكر

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِى أَبِى عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلاَ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ. قَالَ وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَأَبِى أَيُّوبَ وَأَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَرْوَى ابْنَةِ أُنَيْسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. قَالَ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِثْلَ هَذَاعَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بُسْرَةَ.
